Of eight interview subjects, five participated in the IRA's invasion of Northern Ireland. The interviewees talk about the Republican rifle exchange with the National Army which occurred secretly in May 1922, as Free State rifles supplied by Britain were swapped with IRA rifles, which were then sent to arm the IRA in Ulster. They also document the gruesome torture of Brigade Commander Ted O'Sullivan.

W. Murnau, Fritz Lang, Hans Steinhoff, Gustav Ucicky, Veit Harlan und Rolf Hansen verknüpft. Viele der diesen Regisseuren heute zugesprochenen 'filmischen Errungenschaften' in Bezug auf Kameratechnik, Architektur, Licht/Schatten etc. entstammten auch ihrer Fantasie. Wahrgenommen wird sie aber heute – wenn überhaupt – vornehmlich nur noch als die ideologisch und künstlerisch fragwürdige Ehefrau von Fritz Lang, wird zumindest im Zusammenhang mit den gemeinsamen Filmen wie z. B. METROPOLIS (1927), SPIONE (1928), FRAU IM MOND (1929) und M – MÖRDER UNTER UNS (1931) als Drehbuchautorin mit erwähnt, oder sie wird einfach nur aufgrund ihrer engagierten Mitarbeit am deutschen Film der Jahre 1933-1945 als 'Nazisse' etikettiert. Das Buch beinhaltet u. a. Interviews mit Zeitzeugen, die Thea von Harbou persönlich, sowohl privat als auch beruflich, erlebt haben: z.
